I’m glad you’re here!

A little bit of my story: I was born in Colorado, moved shortly after to Oklahoma, and eight years later my family and I came back to Colorado!

Oklahoma will always have a special place in my heart because it not only had the best burgers and fried chicken, but it was also where God instilled a passion for people. I was fortunate to grow up in a community, and in a family, where everyone had a seat at the table. What an opportunity that led to hearing someone’s story. As a child I didn’t realize it, but now I see God was revealing to me the uniqueness and value each person carries.

One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 2:10, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” The word “masterpiece” means poem in Greek. Each of us are a beautiful poem written by God. While on this side of heaven we experience pain and brokenness, we have a God who specializes in healing, freedom, and redemption.

I can speak from experience. Apart of my journey includes times of fear, grief, and pain. During those times, I have found that God never comforts through platitudes, rather through His presence, eternal promises, and people. This informs my approach to counseling, to be with you in your pain while finding the hope (even if it is a crack) that shines in, to dismantle shame and lean into grace, and to comfort that growth and healing are not always linear paths, but there is beauty within them.

The pain I thought would bring me down is the very vessel God has used to work through me to bring hope to others. Perhaps you can relate in feeling stuck, worn down, or hopeless. What’s weighing you down could be apart of your testimony, one that transforms into impact. The beautiful part of healing is that it is not just for us, it has a ripple effect. If I have the privilege to meet you, and even if I don’t, I would like to encourage your presence matters. Your voice is important. And you are immeasurably loved by God.
